newtelligence CardSpace SDK

Brief Description

“CTP 2” is a pre-release version of the newtelligence CardSpace SDK – a comprehensive API for key CardSpace application scenarios: Programmatic creation of managed information cards; requesting and validating security tokens in Microsoft Windows and web applications; and issuing security tokens.

The API consists of the three main parts: the Information Card API for creating and working with managed information cards; the Security Token API for issuing and consuming security tokens; and a set of UI controls supporting CardSpace authentication for web and Windows applications. The SDK is also accompanied by a reference application covering different aspects of the API usage.

Note: The “CTP 2” version of the SDK includes the Information Card API, the ASP.NET information card selector control, and the covering samples. The other parts of the SDK will be available in further releases.

Note: Microsoft Windows CardSpace requires using certificates for authentication purposes. Samples in this SDK use the demo certificates which can be downloaded with the Microsoft CardSpace samples. However, any other valid certificates can be used instead.
