newtelligence CAS Tools for Visual Studio 2005
Brief Description
Designing and developing .NET applications for a partially trusted environment requires
solid knowledge of the .NET Security System. This results in a security risk. The
majority of .NET applications run with full trust today.
To help improve this situation Microsoft Germany and newtelligence AG have developed
a set of everyday solution patterns with corresponding code templates for Microsoft
Visual Studio 2005. This enables developers to write more secure “partial trust”
.NET applications without being a security expert.
The project was attended by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) of
the German government and is appreciated as highly valuable for increasing IT-security
on applications based on the .NET platform.
